CONSTRUCTION

The aim of the physical construction is to build an eco-friendly Centre of Inspirational Excellence using HRH The Prince of Wales’ six Design & Theory Principles:

  • Engender social interaction
  • Make places
  • Sustain land value
  • Design using natural harmonics
  • Allow movement logically and legibly
  • Build beautifully 

 

LOCATION

The intended location of the Centre is near Chichester, West Sussex. The area has been chosen due to strong links and associations with the following:

  • Lord Lieutenant
  • Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit
  • Goodwood Estate
  • Goodwood Aerodrome
  • West Sussex County Council
  • Weald and Down Museum
  • Chichester Cathedral
  • University of Sussex
  • Chichester College
  • Chichester Marina
  • Southampton Boat Show
  • Chichester Festival Theatre

 

THE CENTRE OF INSPIRATIONAL EXCELLENCE WILL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING

Accommodation

  • Single accommodation for up to 10 Young People facing Adversity
  • Single accommodation for up to 10 carers
  • Shared accommodation for up to 10 young deprived centre assistants from The Prince’s Trust
  • Single accommodation for up to five BRIT staff and two staff from The Prince’s Trust or similar charities
  • Double room accommodation for two BRIT Mentors

  • Multi-adaptive hydrotherapy pool
  • Multi-use gymnasium
  • Paralympics & Special Olympics sports suite
  • Governing body supported indoor range
  • Outdoor range

Skills Facilities

  • Aviation industry adaptive flight simulator
  • Motor Industry adaptive driving simulator
  • Arts sector supported arts & culture room
  • Music industry supported music room
  • Media industry supported media suite
  • Business industry supported business suite
