Inviting and Engaging British Designers

We are sincerely grateful to Laura Green, and Julie Castanho, who have been integral to providing a valuable insight into how we can bring British Designers together to collaborate on the BRIT Fashion initiative.

Through lived-experience within her family, Laura understands the challenges of living with a disability. Laura is passionate about destigmatising mental health, promoting inclusivity, and effecting change within the industry.
Laura is the first British Designer to pledge her support to BRIT Fashion.
After studying fashion and design at AUB, Laura went to work at Vogue in New York where her love affair with luxury Parisian techniques and cutting-edge fabrics began. Laura then made her return to the UK and dedicated a decade to gaining as much experience in luxury clothing creation as she could, working as the Head of Operations and Atelier for a heritage couture brand in London. It was in 2018 that Laura Green, Laura’s very own modern atelier, was born.
Laura has generously offered to;
-
Pledge the proceeds (full retail price) of a dress to our charity for the next three years that will discreetly carry a joint Laura Green and BRIT Logo.
-
Deliver Impact by designing and creating an outfit for one of our BRIT Ambassadors that will be showcased by both our charity and our exclusive British Fashion Media Partner.
-
Be integral to a Legacy Project by sharing the story of her creative design with an institution of her choice and, by visiting in person, encouraging students to embrace the a BRIT Fashion Challenge by creating an outfit that has inclusivity at the heart of the design. The winner from each institution will be invited to showcase their design at an annual Fashion Event in 2025 (TBC).
