“I am delighted to be joining the BRIT Ambassador to support and improve young adult mental health. With COVID-19 affecting all of our lives, this is such an important time to support the many young adults and students with existing mental health challenges or those who feel isolated and vulnerable.
Maintaining good mental health is vital for our wellbeing and The British Inspiration Trust’s BRIT 2021 Challenge is an inspiring opportunity to help support and improve young adult mental health and fitness throughout the UK. I hope every UK university, college and student union enters teams in the BRIT 2021 Challenge and encourages their students and staff to take part; at home or on campus.
It would be amazing if members of our Great Britain hockey family join me as BRIT Ambassadors and do all they can to champion the BRIT 2021 Challenge by encouraging university and college teams to take on the challenge. I also urge Olympians, Paralympians and athletes from all sports to unite with us in support of young adult mental health. By coming together, the UK-wide impact could be extraordinary and would benefit the lives of hundreds of thousands of students and young adults.
I would be thrilled to support students and staff at the University of Birmingham as they take on the BRIT 2021 Challenge”.
