We are delighted to be partnering with Student Minds who will be one of five charities benefiting from funds raised by university and college teams taking part in the BRIT 2021 Challenge.
Student Minds is the UK's student mental health charity.
They empower students and members of the university community to look after their own mental health, support others and create change.
It has been a pleasure to develop a special relationship with Student Minds over the past two years and we are sincerely grateful to their Chief Executive, Rosie Tressler OBE, for all her support, enthusiasm and energy to make this a successful partnership.
"We are extremely proud to be a beneficiary of the BRIT 2021 Challenge, an event promoting inclusion, teamwork and wellbeing.
We are looking forward to working collaboratively with the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) and the other partner charities who share our passion for transforming the state of student mental health so that all in higher education can thrive. Student Minds
Student Minds works with students, service users, professionals and academics to develop new and innovative ways to improve the mental health of students.
They empower students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support others, and create change, so that all in higher education can thrive.
Key to their approach is ensuring that young people have agency, whilst empowering the community around them to have the health literacy and tools to respond. Student Minds want to ensure students have access to timely, youth-friendly support and resources. They’re focused on prevention, ensuring that more young people learn how to build their own wellbeing toolkit.
Student Minds train students and staff in universities across the UK to deliver student-led peer support programmes as well as research-driven campaigns and workshops. By working collaboratively across sectors, they share best practice and ensure that the student voice influences decisions about student mental health.
