We are delighted that ColegauCymru are supporting and championing the BRIT 2021 Challenge.

It has been a pleasure to develop a special relationship with ColegauCymru over the past two years. We are sincerely grateful to Iestyn Davies, Chief Executive Officer, and Rob Baynham, Sports Coordinator, for all their help and support to promote our BRIT 2020 Row Britannia Challenge in 2019/20 and our BRIT 2021 Challenge this year.

Our aspiration is that every college in Wales embraces our annual BRIT Challenge, enters teams and encourages their students and staff to take part.

"Colleges in Wales are taking an active role in developing new interventions that promote positive mental health and improved wellbeing of learners through participation in sport and physical activity.

The British Inspiration Trust’s BRIT 2021 Challenge presents a great opportunity for colleges and their learners to engage in a physical challenge, improve their mental health and fitness, raise awareness of mental health issues among young people in Wales and raise vital funds."

The BRIT 2021 Challenge is an inclusive and accessible event that has the potential to engage young adults throughout Wales, be they on campus or at home. We need all our Welsh universities and colleges to champion this opportunity, register teams and encourage student participation.”

Iestyn Davies

Chief Executive Officer

ColegauCymru

ColegauCymru are an education charity which promotes the public benefit of further education in Wales.  They believe that all learners have the right to world-class education, delivered in a safe, diverse and inclusive setting and within a sector which supports the wider community, employers and the economy.

ColegauCymru also convene the Further Education Principals’ Forum, which represents the interests of further education (FE) providers.

They undertake research and policy development and provide practical support to the FE community. Working closely with Welsh Government, their agencies, and other stakeholders, ColegauCymru help shape policies affecting the FE sector, their learners and staff.

ColegauCymru is the first point of contact for further education in Wales.

We wish every college in Wales taking part in the BRIT 2021 Challenge the very best of luck with their 2,021 mile target and fundraising efforts.
